Paul McCartney today will become the final Beatle to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, two days after the release of his latest album, "Kisses On The Bottom."
McCartney's star, the 2,460th, will be alongside his fellow Beatles, Ringo Starr and the late George Harrison and John Lennon, in front of the Capital Records building on Vine Street.
The ceremony is set to begin at 2 p.m. and comes one day before McCartney is honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year at a gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center and three days before he performs at the Grammy Awards at Staples Center.
Lennon was the first Beatle to receive a star. The ceremony was held Sept. 30, 1988, nearly eight years after his death.
Harrison also received his star posthumously. The ceremony was held on April 14, 2009, also nearly eight years after his death and coinciding with Capitol Records announcing plans for a new Harrison music release.
Starr received his star on Feb. 8, 2010, the 50th anniversary of groundbreaking on the Walk of Fame.
The Beatles as a group received a star on the Walk of Fame at 7080 Hollywood Blvd on Dec. 25, 1998.
