The Los Angeles Opera performed Tanis In America with the Beverly Vista Concert Choir. The opera, which was specifically composed by Lee Holdridge and Richard Sparks for the program, had students rehearsing since February. Holdridge and Sparks also attended the performance. "We were so honored that the composer and the librettist have chosen to come to Beverly Vista to see the performance," said Judith Chan, the choral director of Beverly Vista. "It was an absolutely amazing experience for the chorus students to sing together on stage with these professionals. We feel very fortunate that our Beverly Vista PTA is able to fund this wonderful program for our students."
