Facing financially challenging times, more and more business owners and professionals are searching for innovative ways to stay afloat.
Dan Manheim, who considers himself an entrepreneur, has found a way to do business and help other owners tap into expanding opportunities, he says.
Manheim is the owner Global Business Centers on North Camden Drive.
He’s owned the company since 1995 and calls himself one of the “founding fathers” of virtual offices. GBC is designed for part-time and home-based businesses, which has become a growing trend.
With organizations downsizing and looking for ways to cut expenses, virtual offices and executive offices have become popular. Manheim said his business allows smaller companies to have a presence in Beverly Hills without having a huge overhead.
“Even the Norwegian consul uses a virtual office,” said Manheim, who is originally from Israel. “Whenever he sees clients, he comes by. We put the Norwegian flag in his office. He takes care of passports and then walks to his home in Beverly Hills.”
The cost for doing business with GBC starts at under $200 a month. Manheim said: “We handle all day to day operations for businesses. And when you use our services, you are cutting 90 percent of your overhead.”
The center answers calls for owners and transfers them to anywhere in the world. All mail comes to the office with a 90210 zip code and packages are forwarded to owners. and packages are forwarded to owners.
In addition, Manheim has created a networking program for his clients to mingle with other business owners and exchange services.
“We are creating a community of entrepreneurs, who want to do business in Beverly Hills and one of the things we do for them is bring different keynote speakers that talk about how to develop your business,” he said.
GBC has locations in New York and Asia, including Japan and China. Manheim believes the key to being a successful entrepreneur is having a vision and following through. “We are here to support businesses on positive thinking and and creating wealth,” said Manheim.
