Darioush Restaurant Opens On North La Cienega

Darioush is the latest addition to the celebrated list of international restaurants in Beverly Hills with Mayor Jimmy Delshad on hand with a group of 40 civic leaders on hand for the dedication.

Arriving in California from England a year and half ago, Chef Darioush Danesh has been classically trained in the art of French cooking.

He is introducing French Persian Nouvelle cuisine-fusing French cooking techniques with the unique flavors of Persia.

The global wine list includes many selections which are served by the glass as well as wines from the legendary Darioush Winery in Napa Valley.

Though the restaurant and the winery are separate entities, Darioush Khaledi is a close friend of Darioush Danesh and very supportive of his restaurant venture.

Darioush with its intimate dining room andpatio serves luncheon and dinner Monday through Saturday.

It is located at 111 N. La Cienega Blvd. with reservations at 310-289-0300.

In an annual rite of Oscar season, Academy Award- nominated actors, directors and producers descended on the Beverly Hilton today for a good-natured lunch and photo session.
The Horace Mann Elementary Student Council designated Wednesday as Horace Mann V.I.P. Day. Students went to school wearing V.I.P. outfits and the entire elementary staff surprised Principal Steve Kessler by dressing up like him complete with fake moustaches.
