The Courier and Beverly Hills Design and Life Magazine held their first Beverly Hills Golden Triangle Block Party at the Crescent Hotel on North Crescent Drive.
Some 25 City business owners and associates attended the premiere-networking event.
“We wanted local stores on specific streets in the Golden Triangle region to meet their neighbors,” said Brent Aldon, the marketing and special events manager for the newspaper and magazine.
Allen Artcliff, the food and beverage director of the Crescent, served his famous garden grown cocktail, the Victoria’s Secret Garden martini, and hors d’oeuvres like tuna tartare.
“Many shops have been in Beverly Hills for years and they have never met their neighbors,” said Aldon, who organized the successful events.
The second installment of the Golden Triangle Block Party was at Il Fornaio on Beverly Drive with double the attendance. Associates from Rodeo Realty, Geox, Optometrix and the Paley Center for Media as well as Scandia Down joined in the celebration.
Last Wednesday, The Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive hosted the third installment of the Golden Triangle Block Party on its penthouse rooftop with more than 90 invited guests attending. Associates from Salon Aniko, Senna Cosmetics, Donald J. Pliner, and Batia and Aleeza Salon were a few of the attendees.
Director of Special Events and Membership at the Paley Center for Media Lori Simpson said, “Not only were the location and views beautiful, but I felt everyone wanted to get to know all their neighbors and wanted to know what’s going on with their businesses. It was such a great networking event.”
Executive Chef Matthew Gladstone prepared tuna tartare and smoked duck while Special Events Director Jennifer Albert’s staff served cocktails, even one named after The Courier.
“It’s been a huge success. We are doing a fourth installment at Singual mid- October,” added Aldon. “The Golden Triangle Block Party is going to be a yearly event.”
