These treats are a gourmet version of the traditional churro we have all come to love at theme parks and sporting events.

Staff at The Courier were lucky enough to sample a few of the delights today, which included the Peanut Butter Lover, Black and White, Triple Chocolate, The Original, Maple Bacon, Jordan's Favorite and the MissySippy to name a few.

Creator and owner Vicente Cisnerof has opened five stores in California - the nearest is located at 8360 Melrose in West Hollywood.

"It's a gourment version of the traditional churro," Cisnerof said.

"The company comes from Spain. It's a new treat in which we inject different fillings and we put different toppings and coatings.

"The product is deep-fried like a straight donut, but we use rice brown oil for the frying which is tempura style."

The company has just revamped their Facebook and Twitter pages to offer free Xooro's each day at the said location on their posts.
