Official “wedding season” may be behind us, but planning a wedding never goes out of style. Leave it to The Wedding Salon, the nation’s leading event planning agency, to construct an event not to be missed by any bride or planner Sept. 14 at West Hollywood’s The London Hotel (1020 N. San Vicente Blvd.), from 4-9 p.m.
Launched in 2004 in connection with über planner Martha Stewart’s wedding tome, The Wedding Salon is a one-stop shop for all things wedding.
“It’s a bridal showcase for brides to meet the best vendors in the industry and to discover the latest trends,” said Tatiana Byron, president and founder, who hand selected each of the 50 vendors scheduled to be present.
Held in all major markets including New York, Miami and Los Angeles (a Chicago event is set to launch soon), The Wedding Salon showcase features the latest and greatest in all wedding categories housed under one convenient (and elegant) roof.
Designed to replicate a million-dollar wedding, attendees will enjoy complimentary cocktails, beauty treatments, bridal fashion shows and gourmet hors d’oeuvres whiles receiving tips from the crème de la crème of the bridal industry.
On hand will be vendors featuring the hottest trends in table décor, hair and make-up consultations, invitations, photography and music. There will be cake tastings from noted locales such as Hanson’s Cakes (a favorite of celebrities such as Tori Spelling) and Gordon Ramsay, while leading hotels will be representing different honeymoon destinations. The latest in gown fashions, including a model decked in Monique Lluillier and adorned in $1 million worth of jewels by Martin Katz, will also be a draw.
“We’ve been very successful,” said Byron. “(The event) has been growing every year. We’ve been really successful in developing a forum where the best come together in one easy event.”
The event is equally as helpful for the do-it-yourself bride. “The event is perfect for the bride planning her own wedding,” said Byron. “We’ve already pre-screened all of the vendors, so you know they are reputable. We’ve already done all of the investigating.”
Even more convenient, brides are invited to register with the help of the latest offerings from Bloomingdales and Williams-Sonoma.
“It’s a great way for brides to save time and money,” said Byron. “They can meet with all of these vendors and touch and feel their products and services. For wedding planners, they get to see what new vendors are out there and what they are showcasing in every major category from food to linens to beauty.”
Each of the 1,000-plus expected guests will not walk away empty handed, receiving “Oscar-worthy” gift bags on their exit, valued at over $500.
Tickets for The Wedding Salon event are $50 for two and can be purchased at www.weddingsalon.com or by calling 212-631-7777. Tickets are also available at the door.
