The ABCs (Associates for Breast & Prostate Cancer Studies) will stage its annual Mother’s Day luncheon/awards presentation on Wednesday, May 5, at the Four Seasons on Doheny Drive.
Being honored are Murial Siebert, founder/president of Murial Siebert & Co., the only female-owned NYSE brokerage firm; Oscar-winning actor Lou Gossett, Jr.; and fashion and jewelry designer Nolan Miller of Dynasty fame.
The festivities begin with various shopping boutiques from 10:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon and presentations from noon.
Emcee for the event will be actress/author and health guru Marilu Henner while actress Ann-Margret will be on hand to present Miller with his award.
The event will benefit the John Wayne Cancer Institute at St. John’s Health Center.

An estimated 175,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to occur among women in the U.S. during the year. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women.
This year 180,000 new cases of prostate cancer will be discovered, the second leading cause of cancer death in men.
The ABCs support progressive and innovative breast cancer and prostate cancer research at John Wayne Cancer Institute at St. John’s. The ABCs have donated millions of dollars to the institute and are pledged to continue to support the work of Dr. Donald Morton, internationally renowned medical director and surgeon-in-chief of JWCI, and Dr. Armando Guiliano, chief of surgical oncology and director of the Joyce Eisenberg Keefer Breast Center at JWCI.
