BHUSD Wants Yearly Residency Checks

Can you prove you live full-time in Beverly Hills? The school district will be asking you to do just that as new policies take effect surrounding residency verification.

On the heels of Beverly Hills Unified School District’s tighter opportunity permit issuance policy and the district’s entrance into basic aid (funding based purely on City tax revenue), the district will be reviewing all student addresses and re-checking for verification of residence.

In an annual rite of Oscar season, Academy Award- nominated actors, directors and producers descended on the Beverly Hilton today for a good-natured lunch and photo session.
The Horace Mann Elementary Student Council designated Wednesday as Horace Mann V.I.P. Day. Students went to school wearing V.I.P. outfits and the entire elementary staff surprised Principal Steve Kessler by dressing up like him complete with fake moustaches.
