With the 9.02.10 Celebration Event just over 24 hours away, Mayor Jimmy Delshad has revealed to The Courier that Ryan Seacrest will take part in tomorrow night's frivolities.

During a walk through of the event preparations at the former Robinson's-May Department Store parking structure on Wilshire Blvd this morning, Delshad said Seacrest would take part in the event.

"He's going to be here to help me out welcoming Larry King and to give him a special 90210 gift," Delshad said.

The 9.02.10 Celebration event, which translates numerically to Sept. 2, honors the city of Beverly Hills by welcoming residents and visitors to enjoy gourmet food, wine and marquee entertainment on the tented rooftop.

Delshad said he was thrilled about the event.

"It's Labor Day holiday and I feel like I'm in labor and ready to deliver," he said.

"I'm so excited like an expectant mother. I think it's going to be great. It's a dream come true.

"I've been thinking about this day for many years, but I didn't know I would be the lucky mayor to be here when this day happens."

Tomorrow night's event is a preview to the Food & Wine's Taste of Beverly Hills Festival which runs Friday through Sunday.
