
Only four days remain for readers of The Courier to win a fabulous, first-class trip for two to New York City simply by nominating their choice for the “Best Real Estate Agent in Beverly Hills 2009.” The winning reader will receive a grand prize of two first-class tickets to Manhattan on American Airlines and a two-night stay at The Waldorf=Astoria. The prize also includes two tickets to After Miss Julie starring Sienna Miller at the American Airlines Theater and dinner each night hosted by Ark Restaurants. The winner will also receive a flip-cam for use on the trip for a video feature on The Courier and American Airlines Web sites.
To date The Courier has received more than 50 submissions from residents throughout the City. Real estate agencies represented include Coldwell Banker, Prudential Realty, Nourmand & Associates, Nelson Shelton & Associates, Rodeo Realty, Hilton & Hyland, Keller Williams, Ferraro & Associates, Sotheby’s and several others. The Courier invites all Beverly Hills residents and former Beverly Hills homeowners to submit their nominations to one of the entry boxes at real estate offices throughout Beverly Hills or to e-mail their nominations to ssmith@bhcourier.com.
To enter, readers must explain in 100-200 words why their choice is the “Best Real Estate Agent in Beverly Hills 2009.” The deadline for nominations is Sept. 28.
Format
The essay should be 100-200 words and must be submitted on an entry form printed in the Beverly Hills Courier. Entries may be typed or handwritten. All submissions must include name, address, phone number, and e-mail address of contestant.

Deliver all entries to one of the contest drop-boxes located at real estate offices throughout Beverly Hills. See attached list for exact locations.

Complete Official Rules
Section I - General Rules
1. By participating, applicants agree a) to the Official Rules, and the decisions of the Contest’s judges, which shall be final in all respects; and b) to release, discharge and hold harmless The Beverly Hills Courier and American Airlines, as well as their respective officers, directors, and employees from all claims or damages arising out of their participation in the Contest.
2. Contestants must submit original work that is not protected by copyright and that has not been published elsewhere.
3. The Beverly Hills Courier will have the right to edit, publish or otherwise duplicate any essay entered into the contest, as well as their names and/or likenesses, without payment to the author or person photographed.
4. The Beverly Hills Courier will have the right to edit, publish or otherwise duplicate footage of the prize trip filmed by the winner for video promotional features, as well as their names and/or likenesses, to be posted to The Beverly Hills Courier website, American Airlines website, and other internet video sites such as YouTube.
5. There is no cost and no purchase necessary to enter the contest.
Section II - Qualifications for Contestants
1. The contest is open to all Beverly Hills residents and their families and any former residents who purchased or sold a home with the assistance or participation of a real estate agent who serves the Beverly Hills community. However, employees, agents or brokers of a real estate firm, lender, loan service, or escrow company are not eligible.
2. A contestant may submit more than one nomination.
Section III - Contest Rules
1. Each contestant must include their name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.
2. Each entry must be written on or attached to the contest entry form printed in The Beverly Hills Courier.
4. Essays may be typewritten or legibly handwritten.
5. Essays should contain between 100-200 words and must be written in English.
6. The contestant must write about a real estate agent who does business in Beverly Hills, though the reader’s experience with the agent need not to have taken place in Beverly Hills.
Section IV - Judging and Timing
1. Entries must be received by September 28, 2009 at an approved drop-off site.
2. The Beverly Hills Courier editorial staff will select the winning submission.
3. In an effort to conceal the identity of each contestant, each entry will be assigned a number. The judges will be given the essay bearing only the assigned number.
4. Judges will not discuss or compare essays being judged until all essays have been judged.
Section V - Scoring of Contest
Scoring procedures by all judges will be identical. They will consider the overall submission, focusing on the contestant’s description of the real estate agent’s level of customer service, thoroughness, and reputation for integrity, as well as the real estate agent’s involvement in the community of Beverly Hills.
