In an annual rite of Oscar season, Academy Award- nominated actors, directors and producers descended on the Beverly Hilton today for a good-natured lunch and photo session.

The Horace Mann Elementary Student Council designated Wednesday as Horace Mann V.I.P. Day. Students went to school wearing V.I.P. outfits and the entire elementary staff surprised Principal Steve Kessler by dressing up like him complete with fake moustaches.
