Temple Emanuel Academy Day School (TEADS), transitional kindergarten through sixth grade, is an accredited Jewish Day School in the heart of Beverly Hills. TEADS welcomes families of all Jewish denominations who want a school that combines excellence in academics with a quality Jewish education. Temple Emanuel Academy Day School and the Temple community are warm and inviting.
The program is based upon four cornerstones: academic achievement, individual expression, Jewish identity and community responsibility.
The curriculum is academically challenging, with Judaism being taught through an experiential lens.
The classroom environment en-courages and fosters inquiry and discovery, stimulates creative and individual expression, and helps students grow and mature into intelligent, self-confident human beings.
As the number of students in the public schools increases, TEADS is committed to keeping the number of students in each class small (not exceeding 16) which allows for differentiated instruction.
The faculty and administrators at TEADS are credentialed, many with additional degrees and training.
Public schools have been forced to cut back, but TEADS prides itself in keeping technology, the arts, PE, and other enrichment programs available and a part of the regular curriculum.
We have a dynamic and cutting-edge technology program that is expanding yearly through generous donations from the parent community. The administration strongly supports the growth of technology and includes it as a priority.
The arts-infused curriculum expands students’ learning experiences, allowing students to explore academics through artistic expression. Performing arts, fine arts, music, and creative writing are all integral parts of the program.
The Physical Education program focuses on sportsmanship as well as learning skills and athleticism. All of the third through sixth graders have passed the Presidential Physical Fitness Program for the past four years. Children need a solid educational foundation that includes the development of strong morals and values; respect for diversity; awareness of global issues; and a desire to help others. Temple Emanuel Academy Day School does all of this and more. The dedication of the administrators and faculty, support of the parents, and diligence of the students make TEADS more than just a school. Temple Emanuel Academy Day School is a learning community.
