The Normans didn’t have any trouble scoring in their 17-0 victory last Friday against the Desert Hot Springs Eagles.
The first half touchdown was a 45-year run by tight end Greg Townsend.
In the second half, it was quarterback Cameron Country-man, set up by a catch to the three-yard line by senior wide receiver Daniel Bradbury.
Senior fullback Jeremy Bruce had a great first half running the ball, but then left the game with an injury in the second half. His injury, deemed not serious, is expected to have him out for a week.
The team is still waiting for the return of junior quarterback Josh Newman, senior safety Markus Silbiger and junior running back/safety AJ Fortier.
Tomorrow’s away game, the Norman’s first in Ocean League play, is at Hawthorne High School.
The Norman’s host Santa Monica on Oct. 23.
