Clockwork Orange, a boys under 12 soccer team, won the Bakersfield Kern River Crude Oil Classic. In a stunning final game, behind 2-0 at the end of the first period, Clockwork Orange came back and scored two goals in the last five minutes of the game to bring home the championship trophy. The Horace Mann Elementary Student Council designated Wednesday as Horace Mann V.I.P. Day. Students went to school wearing V.I.P. outfits and the entire elementary staff surprised Principal Steve Kessler by dressing up like him complete with fake moustaches.
